Climate Change Development Authority new logo to be officially used was designed by Artist Larry Santana who was one of the entrants of the CCDA Logo Competition.

The Climate Change and Development Authority (CCDA) launched its new logo on Tuesday, 15 March, in Port Moresby.

Acting Managing Director Mr. Joe Pokana announced that the new logo was selected among the many entrants of the CCDA Logo Design competition which was opened to the general public in November 2015 .

The winning Logo was submitted by a renowned artist, Larry Santana, whose logo design met the criteria set out by CCDA.

“The artwork appealed to the majority of our staff. It happens that the design that was the most outstanding and the one chosen by most staff belongs to a renowned artist,” he said.

Mr. Pokana congratulated Mr Santana for his great artwork and presented a cheque of K5000 for the winning entry.

His cheque was received by his son Andrew Santana on his behalf as he was away in Madang and could not make it in time.

Mr Pokana assured that the logo would be formally used as soon as the design was finalised with Mr Santana.

The Climate Change Development Authority thanked all 243 entrants who have participated in this completion and acknowledged all their excellent and outstanding artwork.
