Member for Markham, Koni Iguan is the new Minister for Information and Communication Technology and Energy. He takes over from former Minister, Sam Basil, who has been appointed Minister for Finance.
Mr Iguan, 50 years of age, was sworn-in at Government House this morning to take up his new responsibility . He was a former Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee.
Meanwhile, Minister for Forests, Douglas Tomuriesa, is the new Leader of Government Business, while Member for Rigo, Lekwa Gure has taken over the chairmanship of the Parliamentary Public Accounts Committee.
Mr Iguan is a member of PANGU Party in the coalition government.
